Ahh…October. Such a beautiful month. I’m busy bringing in my houseplants and decorating for fall. I found this cute planter at the farmer’s market Saturday for the front porch plant station.
This month, I’m giving away free episodes of the first book in my Witches Anonymous Paranormal Romance Series in my reader community on Ream. Each Witchy Wednesday, followers (and paid tiers) will receive two episodes. Amy is one of my first, and funniest, characters. She and Lucifer have 8 short stories in total, plus a prequel of how they met. They show up in my Kali Sweet series, too, because I couldn’t leave them be when I finished book 8.
When I showed the first WA story to my then literary agent, she said, “It’s cute, but will never sell.” I didn’t listen and entered it in a contest and won a coveted slot in the publisher’s anthology. I went on to publish the rest of the series as an indie and occasionally thought about letting her know it sold quite well… <wink>
