Happy Autumn! The leaves are changing here and even though it’s 80 outside, I’m snuggling with a blanket and the pups. I enjoyed my first cup of chai tea last week – Twinings. It’s not bad for a bag tea, but I adore the loose chai I got a few years ago. I like my tea (and coffee) strong, so I can use more if it’s loose.
I’m sad to see summer go, the migrating hummingbirds and butterflies with it, but the cool mornings and evenings are welcome.
Here’s a picture of a few of the dozens of monarchs that stopped to visit over the weekend on their yearly migration south.
Last week, I finished the draft of Covert Obsession (formerly titled Covert Lies), which will be released in January 2024 at all retailers. I’m batching admin duties (blech) this week to clear my part of my calendar in October to do edits on that story, as well as to celebrate my 88th book release with Wedding Bells & Psychic Spells (A Supernatural Southern Cozy Mystery about a Reluctant Ghost Whisperer), Confessions of a Closet Medium, Book 8, and my hubby’s upcoming bday. For Grim fans, I’ve started Grim Vows, which will be the sixth full-length story in The Accidental Reaper Series. It releases next March if all goes as planned. Chloe and Killion are on a train heading for his castle, playing strip chess. Yes, you read that right. Guess who’s winning? Stay tuned for more behind-the-scenes trivia <wink>
I’m currently writing a new Nyx series to release next year, along with episodes of the Kali Sweet Chronicles for my Kali fans. Those episodes will be grouped into seasons on Ream and eventually released in novel format once I have three seasons. Think of it like your favorite TV or streaming show. That way, you get the book a chunk at a time and don’t have to wait until it’s entirely finished to tag along with Kali, Cole, and the rest of the gang as Kali attempts to rescue 144,000 Fallen angels around the globe. Nice job, right? Easy? Hehehe. You know I can’t make things easy for my favorite vengeance demon.
I also have some secret projects I’m working on – you know how I love to write and the ideas keep coming, so I have to get them down.
