Introduction to the Reiki Symbols
Reiki Level 2 introduces two more sacred symbols that act as tools to focus and amplify Reiki energy. These symbols are gateways to deeper levels of healing and spiritual connection.
The Three Sacred Symbols
Cho Ku Rei (Power Symbol) review:
Cho Ku Rei translates to “Place the power of the universe here.” It acts as a power switch, amplifying energy and providing protection during Reiki sessions.
How to Draw It:
Start at the top of an imaginary line (vertical).
Draw a clockwise spiral starting at the top, looping three times, ending at the base of the line.
Visualize light radiating outward as you draw.
Uses:
Amplifying Reiki Energy:
Use at the start of a session to enhance energy flow.
Visualize the symbol over your hands or the treatment area.
Protection and Space Clearing:
Draw it in the air or visualize it to create a shield around yourself or a space.
Ideal for clearing negative energy from a room or an object.
Visualize or draw the symbol over the treatment area while stating your intention.
Sealing Energy:
Conclude a session by drawing Cho Ku Rei to seal the energy within the recipient.
Sei He Ki (Emotional/Mental Symbol):
Sei He Ki means “God and man become one,” symbolizing harmony between mind and emotions. It’s used to address mental and emotional imbalances.
How to Draw It:
Start with a curved line resembling a wave.
Draw a line crossing through the wave to the left, forming an incomplete “Z” shape.
Add a vertical line below the wave, connecting to a second wave-like curve.
Uses:
Emotional Healing:
Helps release emotional trauma, stress, or anxiety.
Visualize or draw the symbol over the recipient’s heart chakra.

Draw it while stating the intention to break the cycle.
Trauma Work:
Use Sei He Ki to heal past emotional wounds by sending energy to the affected memory or time.
Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen (Distance Healing Symbol)
Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen translates roughly to “No past, no present, no future,” reflecting its ability to transcend time and space. It connects the practitioner to a recipient or situation across distances or eras.
How to Draw It:
Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen is a complex kanji-like symbol. To simplify:
