Lesson 1: Recap of Level 1 and Introduction to Level 2 Concepts and Responsibilities

In Reiki Level 1, you were introduced to the foundational principles and practices of Reiki, awakening your connection to Universal Life Force Energy.

Let’s revisit the key elements you learned:

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a gentle yet powerful healing modality that channels energy to restore balance and harmony to the body, mind, and spirit.

The Reiki Principles

You explored Dr. Usui Sensei’s Five Principles of Reiki as a guide for living with mindfulness and compassion:

Just for today, do not anger.

Just for today, do not worry.

Just for today, be grateful.

Just for today, do your work honestly.

Just for today, be kind to all living things.

Self-Reiki Practice

You learned the importance of daily self-care through Reiki and how to use hand placements to channel energy to yourself for healing and relaxation.

Chakra Basics

You explored the seven major chakras and how Reiki works to balance them.

Level 1 Attunement

You experienced your first attunement, opening your energy channels to Reiki and beginning your personal healing journey.

Level 1 focused on internal growth, self-healing, and building a strong foundation for your Reiki practice.

Reiki Level 2 Practitioner Concepts

In Level 2, you will take your practice to the next level by expanding your knowledge, skills, and responsibilities.

This level is about connecting deeper with Reiki energy and learning to channel it for the benefit of others as well as for yourself.

Here’s what we’ll delve into in Level 2:

Sacred Reiki Symbols

You were attuned to the first Reiki symbol, Cho Ku Rei, in my Level 1 course.

In this course, you will be attuned to two more powerful symbols that amplify energy, facilitate emotional healing, and transcend time and space for distance healing: Sei He Ki (Emotional/Mental Symbol) and Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen (Distance Healing Symbol).

Distance Healing

You’ll learn how to send Reiki energy to people, situations, or events across time and space, helping those you cannot treat in person.

Advanced Chakra Work

You’ll deepen your understanding of the chakras, exploring how imbalances manifest physically, emotionally, and spiritually, and how Reiki can bring alignment.

Healing Others

You’ll gain practical skills for treating clients or loved ones, including setting intentions, creating a healing space, and conducting professional sessions.

Practitioner Skills and Ethics

As a Level 2 Practitioner, you take on greater responsibility for the ethical use of Reiki. It’s important to maintain boundaries, respect client privacy, and embody Reiki principles in your practice.

Responsibilities as a Reiki Level 2 Practitioner

Stepping into Level 2 is not just about learning new techniques; it’s about embracing the responsibilities that come with your growing abilities:

Commitment to Personal Growth

Continue your self-Reiki practice to stay grounded and aligned. Healing others requires you to maintain your own energetic balance.

Service to Others

As a Level 2 Practitioner, you are empowered to help others on their healing journeys. This requires compassion, integrity, and a willingness to be a clear channel for Reiki energy.

Respect for Energy and Ethics

Reiki is a sacred practice. Using it responsibly means treating it with reverence, respecting free will, and honoring the trust others place in you.

Consistency in Practice

Regular practice is essential to build confidence and deepen your connection with Reiki energy.

Your Reiki Journey So Far

Take a moment to reflect on your journey. How has Reiki changed your life since Level 1?

What have you learned about yourself through self-Reiki practice?

What are you most excited about as you move into Level 2?

Level 2 is a significant step forward, opening doors to profound healing possibilities and deeper spiritual awareness. As you embark on this next chapter, stay open, curious, and grounded in the Reiki principles.
