We’re approaching the end of the year and I have another ending to take care of right now – my current laptop
It has some age on it and randomly shuts down without warning, can’t open programs, and claims it’s connected to our WIFI system but isn’t. IT guy (aka my hubby) has done everything possible to keep it working, but it’s finally time for me to buy a new one.
During our five years+ together, I’ve written about thirty stories on it. Yes, I tend to bond with my computers (and my fictional characters, cars, purses, knickknacks, etc.), so it’s no surprise that I feel sad about moving on to a new, improved model. I keep telling myself that I will create many more cool stories on that one.
Meanwhile, I’m looking forward to Thanksgiving. One of the boys will be here with us to celebrate this year! I haven’t found my recipes—they’re still buried in a box in storage—but we’ll wing it. It’s the VIP company that’s important to me, and having him here for our first Thanksgiving in our new home.
Next month, our other son will visit before Christmas, so I’m adjusting my shopping and cooking (and writing and editing) so we can celebrate Christmas early while he’s here. We’ll do a normal Christmas, too.
One of my favorite things about the holidays is the baking. I’m not much of a cook, but I love to bake. What is your favorite activity during this season?
If you’re already in the holiday mood, have you read my stories set during Thanksgiving and Christmas? I have several in multiple series:
If you like something a touch sweeter at the holidays, my pen name writes paracozies with all the feels. Here are the ones set during the holiday season:
Of Stars & Spells, Sister Witches of Raven Falls
Of Spirits & Superstition, Sister Witches of Raven Falls
Magic & Mistletoe, Confessions of a Closet Medium
Ruby, Sister Witches of Story Cove
Zelle, Sister Witches of Story Cove
Just a reminder, you can get all my books in my personal stores. I release new ones here first and usually at discount (or on my Nyx site). I save so you save, since I don’t have to split my earnings with the retailer. It’s my way of saving you money that otherwise ends up in their pockets!
I hope you have a fabulous Thanksgiving if you celebrate. I’m looking for easy, tasty recipes if you want to send me your favorite firstname.lastname@example.org.
I’m off to pick a new laptop. I look forward to writing many, many stories on it for you!!
