There’s a special kind of magic that happens when a character steps onto the page and takes on a life of her own. For me, that’s Charlie Schock.

I love writing Charlie because she embodies both strength and vulnerability. That balance makes her real—not just a detective chasing answers, but a woman navigating grief, family, and the messy business of life.
