Falling for Books: Why Autumn Is the Perfect Reading Season

There’s something magical about fall. The air turns crisp, leaves crunch underfoot, and suddenly, I’m craving both pumpkin spice lattes and edge-of-your-seat mysteries. 🍂📚

For me, autumn has always been the season of reading. Maybe it’s the shorter days, maybe it’s the cozy blankets, or maybe it’s the fact that a good thriller feels extra thrilling when the wind howls outside your window. Whatever the reason, I think fall is the perfect time to get lost in a story.

This year, my TBR (to-be-read) stack is as tall as the pumpkin display at the farmer’s market. I’m mixing in new romantic thrillers, a few mysteries, and—of course—plenty of comfort rereads. (Because nothing says “fall” like revisiting an old favorite while sipping apple cider.) I’m currently doing my yearly reread of the Kali Sweet series in anticipation of the November release of Sweet Betrayal.

First up is the October 14th release of Avenging Jessie (the explosive finale in the Black Swan Division)

Then, it’s back to the Windy City and my all-time favorite vengeance demon. Sweet Betrayal releases Tuesday, November 11th.

And if you didn’t pick up 4th Silence, grab your sleuthing kit and get started solving that cold case with Charlie and Meg Schock!

Whether you’re into globe-trotting espionage or snarky urban fantasy, I’ve got you covered for autumn binge-reading.

So grab your coziest sweater, light a candle, and let’s make this fall one for the books.
